As a responsible RV owner, it’s important that you do everything in your power to keep your RV maintained. This includes finding spare parts to replace worn-down or broken parts, and keeping some extras in stock so that you don’t have to head to a repair shop for every little fix. Here are some essential spare parts that you’ll want to have handy to make repairs to your RV.

Water Pump Parts

Your RV’s water pump can become damaged if the pump motor isn’t running well. You need that water system to function, though, so make sure that you have additional waste valves available.

Light Bulbs

You’ll need both incandescent and fluorescent light bulbs to replace the bulbs in your RV’s various light fixtures. Make note of the type of bulb each fixture takes and try to keep at least one spare for each bulb in your RV at all times.

12V Fuses

Having a selection of 12-volt DC fuses on hand will help you fix a short circuit resulting from a blown fuse. Fuses are inexpensive and easy to store in a small container.

Thermocouples and Electrodes

Your water heater and your furnace in your RV need these essential items to function. You can find universal thermocouples for most appliances, but you’ll have to check your RV owner’s manual to figure out the type of electrodes to use.
